Brand History: Celine was founded in 1945 in Paris by Céline Vipiana as a made-to-measure children’s shoe boutique. It later shifted to women’s fashion and leather goods. Known for chic, minimalist style, it became a symbol of Parisian elegance. In 1996, it joined the LVMH group. Designers like Phoebe Philo (2008–2018) redefined Celine with modern, clean lines and a cult following. Since 2018, Hedi Slimane has led the brand, giving it a rock inspired, edgy twist.
